About MG

Past

My name is Michael George (b. 1988) and my formative years were spent in Fort Myers, Florida where I grew up with the ocean and probably your grandma. I moved to New York City nine years ago and have somehow maintained my sense of child-like optimism.

Present

I am a photographer, writer, and people-lover based out of Brooklyn. My human interest and travel stories have been published by wonderful people listed down below. I have been a guest lecturer at Yale University and have taught workshops in locations that vary from the glaciers of Patagonia to onboard an Amtrak train. In 2010 I biked across the country, and in 2012/13 I walked 1,000 miles across Spain. This year I plan to crawl across Russia. Not true. Through my work I strive to tell stories of our common humanity through travel, culture, and the underrepresented.
